Northern Neck Orchestra Music Director Michael Repper will present music from

the New York Youth Symphony’s new recording of compositions by three African

American women composers -- Florence Price, Valerie Coleman and Jessie Montgomery

-- on Thursday, April 14th at 5:30 p.m. at Good Luck Cellars.

Repper will underscore his commentary on the music by demonstrating

selections of the works at the piano and using the recorded performances. During

the presentation Repper will interact with the audience in the spirit of the entertaining

pre-concert talks he hosts with the Northern Neck Orchestra.

There is no admission charge for the program. Attendees are asked to consider

making a donation to the Northern Neck Orchestra.

Copies of the newly released CD featuring three debut recordings will be

available for purchase at $20 and signing by Repper at a “meet and greet” chat with

audience members following his presentation.
