The Northern Neck Orchestra presents “Music for Guitar and Strings,”  a concert of chamber music featuring a delightful mix of compositions from South America and Europe that celebrate the exceptional beauty of the guitar.

PERFORMANCE DETAILS

The program showcases Niccolo Paganini’s Cantabile for Violin and Guitar and Sonata Concertata, Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas No. 5 for Violin and Guitar, Federico Moreno Torroba ‘s Suite Castellana, Isaac Albéniz’ Rumores de la Caleta, Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto in D Major for Guitar and Strings, Luigi Boccherini’s Grave assai and Fandango from the Guitar Quintet No. 4 in D Major and a Tango Medley.

The final concert in the Northern Neck Orchestra 2022-2023 Chamber Music Series will be performed by guitarist Daniel Duarte, violinist Moises Cunha, the concertmaster and principal violinist of the Northern Neck Orchestra, and members of the Northern Neck Orchestra String Quartet.
